Japanese Maple Bonsai
The Japanese Maple is one of the most popular bonsai species practiced world wide. Their five lobed delicate foliage emerge light green or bronze colour in Spring. They turn slightly darker in Summer and finally flame red in Autumn - delivering three season colour.
In Summer they need protection from the harsh sun so its best to keep them in a location where they are not exposed to midday sun and sweeping hot wind. Attention given to their location in the garden and some minimal care, they will thrive and increase in beauty every year.
The appearance of the tree varies from season to season. Maples will have no leaves in Winter.
