Native to the southern states of the United States, Mexico and Guatemala, the Bald Cypress is a tall tree with reddish brown bark and soft, needle-shaped foliage turns a golden to rusty brown color in the Autumn and is contrasted against bark that is a reddish brown color on older specimens, which is finely divided into vertical strips.
