Trident Maples are some of the most popular bonsai. Anyone can take care of these hardy deciduous plants. This bonsai has a nice trunk movement which will only look nicer as the tree gets older. You can be as creative as you want to be with these trees since they handle pruning, defoliating and wiring very well.
These trees can be distinguished by their dark green leaves that turn red and fluorescent orange in Autumn. The Trident Maple has three-lobed leaves as opposed to the five-lobed leaves of the similar tree, Japanese Maple. Trident maples are deciduous which means they loose their leaves in Winter. A truly beautiful and hardy plant suitable for any plant lover.
